TESTIMONIALS

“Gemma Sugrue is a singer’s singer. Her voice takes me away. Gemma’s tone is exquisite – full bodied, capable of great emotion and also great restraint, her use of dynamics and her incredible versatility – soulful, raw, tender, whether singing rhythm and blues, folk and roots music, opera and even rock are all incredible strengths. You suggest a style and she’s there like a Valkyrie of singing.. However, it’s Gemma’s unique ability to simply serve the song that captures my heart. When singing on my music, she wraps her voice around mine like all the great singers – Aretha, Emmylou, Billie Holiday with fire and passion and love. She’s is in the moment. Gemma is a beautiful and real and authentic voice.”

Jack O’Rourke (Singer/Songwriter)

“Gemma has worked with me in many different scenarios over the years and I’ve found her stellar in all of them – super professional and great fun. She’s is a wealth of knowledge as a vocal coach and I have called on her advice many times.”

Brian Deady (Singer/Songwriter)

“I’ve co hosted many wonderful events with Gemma over the last few years, including our annual Summer Jam in Fitzgerald’s park, and our weekly Summer Breeze sessions in that venue too. Gemma has sang at loads of my other shows aswell and she has appeared on my radio show a number of times too! She is my favourite singer plus a great friend and a total professional to work with, so I can recommend her 100%”
